An aluminium ferrule (also called an aluminium swage sleeve or crimping sleeve) is a seamless metal fitting used to form permanent loops, eyes, or splices on wire ropes and steel cables. Made from high-ductility aluminium alloys, it is mechanically compressed (swaged) around wire rope strands using a hand crimper or hydraulic press.
