A Dee shackle (also referred to as a D-shackle or chain shackle) is a narrow, U-shaped connecting link used primarily for in-line lifting, tensioning, and load-securing applications. Named for its resemblance to the letter "D," it consists of a curved metal body loop spanned by a removable steel pin across the opening.
